Transition To Microsoft AdCenter

Up until now I hadn’t had any issues migrating Yahoo account data to the Microsoft Advertising Adcenter. However today my attempts to transfer data were fraught with errors and failure. The following are several of the messages I received from Microsoft while attempting to make the transition from a Yahoo account to a Bing account. The following message is the first one I received and I have no idea why… Compatibility Report I then attempted to import an account and got this account import errors message. Yahoo Account Import Failure I tried to import the account several more times and finally got it imported only to learn there were “71 issues” with my account. 71 Issues Not one but seventy one issues… I can’t wait to discover how long it takes for me to get each one of them resolved!

The New Twitter.com Interface

I finally got the new Twitter.com interface in my account today. New Twitter I have grown so accustomed to the original Twitter interface, it will be interesting to see if and when I can adjust to the new Twitter interface.

Google Places: Not So Fast

I am glad my business isn’t dependent on Google Places or their local business listing product for search referrals. If it was, I would have already starved to death. My Google Local Business Listing has been in a state of purgatory for at least a year. Today I found the following note in my account regarding the status of my listing. “This listing needs to reviewed further before appearing on Google. Please allow several weeks.” Google Places Not Timely

To improve the AdWords experience, Google is testing a new tool that helps advertisers optimize their account. The AdWords Campaign Experiments, or ACE, does this by letting advertisers accurately test and measure changes to their keywords and bids, ad groups and placements. This video describes step 1 of running an experiment: setting campaign experiment parameters.

The only Powerpoint presentation I felt comfortable loading at this time was a Google Adwords presentation I gave in Scottsdale, AZ during 2005.
